
Espana Football reports that Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte is a target for his former club Athletic Bilbao and fellow Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.

Laporte is expected to leave Al-Nassr this summer and could return to San Mames. But Cadena Ser reports. That Atletico Madrid are also considering the 31-year-old defender as an option should they miss out on top centre-back target Cristian Romero.
Atletico had Laporte on their transfer list last summer and the player is now on the radar again. Atletico Madrid’s executives are keen to sign Romero. However, a deal may not happen unless Spurs lower their asking price, which they are under no obligation to do.
Those involved in the Spanish national team are reportedly keen for Laporte to leave Al Nassr. And return to Europe as they look to get the player playing at the highest level ahead of next summer’s World Cup in North America.
Al Nassr are ready to sell but will demand a hefty price to part ways. With the player they signed from Man City two years ago.
As of now, no club has made any formal moves to sign Laporte. With Athletic Bilbao unlikely to make a move until they receive the money from Williams’ release clause. But they still have an advantage over Atletico Madrid. Who are unlikely to make any moves until Romero is completely ruled out.
